Having spent a lot of time in Manchester recently, people often recommend Australasia to me for a special dining experience. On Sunday afternoon we finally got around to going there. It’s a beautiful place as soon as you arrive, you enter the glass dome that takes you downstairs into the restaurant.
We ordered two Mojitos and were lead to our table. The staff were really helpful with the menu, we decided to go for some the scallops, sweet potato, lamb cutlets and of course some mixed sushi!
Once we’d had our mains, we went onto desert, ordering the chocolate dome that I had heard lots about. It didn’t disappoint, it was to die for. They pour hot caramel sauce onto the ball to melt the chocolate, surrounded by berries, it’s delicious and I’d highly recommend.
The food was really special, delicious flavours and very different to other restaurants. The menu has lots to choose from, I’ll definitely have to return for a second visit to try some more. It’s got to be one of my favourites in Manchester.
